John D. Mabley, JD is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University Law School. He is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a past chair for the Michigan chapter of that organization. He is also the former chair of the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the Michigan State Bar. John has been listed for more than 10 years under the estate planning and probate category of Best Lawyers in America and has also been named to the Michigan SuperLawyers list since 2007. As a presenter to the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, he is a frequent speaker on estate planning, probate and law office administration. John concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, and trust and estate litigation.  He has served as a mediator in a number of probate litigation matters, and also has experience as an expert witness in various probate court litigation matters.  In addition, John is a member of several boards and organizations and has received recognition for his service, including:
