About Erin

Erin Majka concentrates her practice in the areas of long term care planning, estate planning, and  estate and trust administration.  Erin graduated from DePaul University College of Law (magna cum laude and Order of the Coif).  Before attending law school, she graduated from DePauw University.  She is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Michigan.  After law school, Erin was an attorney with a firm in Chicago for eleven years before moving home to Michigan.

Erin previously presented on the PACE program for ICLE at the April 2017 Medicaid and Health Care Planning Update.  She was a co-presenter at the Elder Law Institute in September 2018 for the hands-on learning program regarding a Medicaid application for a single person.  She is a presenter in ICLE’s Elder Law Certificate Program, and she co-authored the Veterans Benefits chapter ICLE’s Advising Clients on Elder and Disability Law book.  She completed ICLE’s Probate and Estate Planning Certificate in 2018. In 2018 and 2020, Erin was selected by Leading Lawyers Magazine as a Leading Lawyer in the areas of elder law and trust, will, and estate planning law.

Erin is a Past President and board member for the Hospital Hospitality House of Southwest Michigan.  She is also board member for Senior Care Partners PACE.  She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Kalamazoo.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as reading and volunteering.
